If you're are running lots of programs simultaneously on your computer you'll surely appreciate those free utilities.
They free up memory by forcing Windows system to flush down its memory cache. The memory cache consists of programs, DLLs and system input/output buffers that are already opened but aren't used. On Rambooster goto Edit->Options and check Set Auto Optimization ON as well as launch automatically at startup.
You can always do manual optimization and thus free some memory by pressing button Optimize.

I used that program before and I thought it will work. To be honest I did not see any changes in speed.
How can you check/verify that something is improving?
I personally use WinMem Memory Optimizer. It has optimized my memory so the computer doesn't slows down like before. Another good feature of this program is that when you want to run a resource demanding game or application you can run the Maximize Ram before and this frees up memory almost like after computer restart.
